Description

PAINEL is an almanac about the ways of thinking and practicing architecture today. Organized by Clube, the publication brings together 24 original contributions from architects, artists, and researchers from Brazil and around the world.

Created in 2020, during the pandemic, the project made its debut on Clube’s website as a monthly series inviting different participants to develop experimental works. In its printed edition, the research expands: the contributions are organized into twelve pairs of themes that address institutions, labor, the city, memory, drawing, ornament, postmodernity, and more.

The graphic design draws inspiration from books of curiosities, catalog formats, and illustrated almanacs, seeking to explore the challenges and possibilities of print within Brazilian architectural culture, establishing itself as a space for dialogue between practices, times, and languages.
