Lorena Dini’s photographs are a fusion of beauty, fashion, and sensitivity, all captured through a keen eye. “I stopped the time and thought of you,” her debut book, presents a curated collection of images ranging from fashion commissions to candid portraits, in a publication with chromatic and formal nuances that layer narratives with each page turn. In addition to photographing faces like Milton Nascimento, Xênia França, Julia Mestre, Zé Ibarra, Vitória Falcão, and Rita Payés, Dini’s work reveals a rigorous mastery of light, while also revealing her spontaneous, contemplative, and dreamy personality.

The book’s design centers around two main colors—coral and green—used to categorically organize the bilingual content. Beyond these vibrant tones, the book is embraced by black, which dominates the backgrounds, stitching, and painted edges, creating a contrast of depth that adds elegance. The hardcover features a glossy silkscreen finish that highlights the title, with an exposed spine, allowing for full-page visibility of the photographs. The volume also includes a notable addition: a sheet of acetate with lyrical phrases from the author, enabling an interplay between image and text, expanding Dini’s visual language and encouraging the reader to explore new layers of meaning.
