, Expresso is an art studio project aimed at minors who are serving a socio-educational sentence at Fundação Casa. The project is coordinated by Daniela Machado, an artist who, in her teens, worked at the extinct FEBEM-SP (now Fundação Casa), and welcomes young people through pedagogical activities focused on culture. Under the guidance of a diverse group of artist-educators, the youths participated in various activities that resulted in works with media such as painting, drawing, photography, video and music. As a result of the first edition, an exhibition of selected works was held, curated by Guilherme Teixeira and Carollina Lauriano, occupying a deactivated FEBEM station in the north of São Paulo, in addition to the release of a publication that documented the entire process. For the project’s communication, an identity structured by typographic compositions was created, giving due prominence to the names of the young artists, always in the foreground. With a single highlight color, orange, and an objectively readable sans serif font, the graphic resources of the material are lean, designed for simple execution and an informative, yet eye-catching result.
